English Wines

English sparkling wine has given Champagne a run for its money in recent times. Parts of Southern England (Kent, Sussex and Hampshire are hot spots) share the same chalky soils and climate as the Champagne region, producing similar styles but with a uniquely English character. The classic varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir traditionally used in Champagne are all grown here to produce exquisite dry, sparkling wines.
