A Californian crossing of Muscat of Alexandria and Grenache Blanc, Symphony is a very aromatic white grape with a citrusy taste that is usually used for white wine blends. The variety lends itself well to off-dry and late harvest Symphony wine where the aromatic flavours and residual sugar in the grape create a well-balanced wine. Since 2010 plantings have been on the increase so this is definitely a grape to look out for in the future and makes for a great aperitif wine.
