Albert Bichot Wines

Burgundy has a reputation as being something of a wine minefield. It’s sheer diversity and range of wines is awe-inspiringly difficult to grasp. Over 28,000 hectares of vineyard, 100 AOCs (appellations), and 1,247 climats in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. (A climat is a specific vineyard designation, based upon climate as well as geography.)

Albert Bichot has a long history in the region, and today is headed by Albéric Bichot who continues to drive for quality over quantity and has invested much in both vineyards and cellars.

Vineyards are all ploughed with no artificial fertilisers used. Wines are made in Chablis, Pommard, Beaune and Nuits-St-Georges. These are serious Burgundian wines, no doubt, that provide beautiful illustrations of this wonderfully diverse French wine region.
