Made by husband and wife Wayne and Myriam Keoghan who established the Anvers winery in 1998. The grapes are sourced from the world renowned regions of McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek and Adelaide Hills. This is wonderfully aromatic with the scent of mandarin and lemon and flavours of citrus and apple and a crisp finish. This works really well with shellfish, particularly lightly spiced dishes or fish and chips!

Buy this if...you love aromatic dry styles.

Winner of a Gold medal at the Cairns Wine Show 2013.

A classic South Australian Riesling with just a touch of honeyed weight and sunny lemon skin richness to go with the whipsmart lime, steely acidity and juicy, dry, fresh finish.'

The Producer

Wayne and Myriam Keoghan established Anvers Wines in 1998 with the philosophy of only producing premium wines from low yielding vineyards, including their own Razorback Road vineyard located just outside the town of Kangarilla in the Adelaide Hills. Working together with winemaker Kym Milne MW, they have set the bar high, with a range of outstanding cool climate red and white styles.

The Winemaker

After graduating from Roseworthy College in 1981, Kym Milne worked at Berri Estates for two years and then began a long stint as chief winemaker for well-known New Zealand estate Villa Maria, gaining his Master of Wine in 1991. Leaving Villa Maria in 1993, Kym became one of the original 'flying winemakers' who brought invaluble experience to boutique wineries around the world and since 2003 has worked consistently for various Australian wineries including Anvers and Bird in Hand.

The Region

There are 16 hectares under vine, at an altitude of between 200 and 600 metres above sea level. The climate of the Adelaide Hills is that of slightly higher than average rainfall and the higher altitude of the Razorback Road vineyard brings cooler conditions and slower ripening of the grapes than experienced on the lower plains of McLaren Vale.

Parmesan Crusted Cod

Jazz up a simple cod fillet with a herby crust and match with a vibrant, mouth-watering white. Try a Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc or Viognier with crisp acidity.

Pad Thai

Pair Thai dishes with fresh, light whites from aromatic grape varieties which contrast well with the aromatic herbs and heat.

Sweet & Sour Pork Tenderloin

Sweet & Sour needs to be handled by a wine with good acidity to balance the sweetness and some rich fruit for the sourness – try a fruity New World white.
