The Bimbadgen Estate range of wines consists of classic Hunter Valley varietals crafted in a traditional style from within Australia's oldest wine region. This classic Hunter Semillon is the winner of a gold medal at the Hunter Valley Wine Show in 2014. With aromas of citrus blossom and flavours of green apples and limes, this has crisp acidity with a racy, mineral character. Perfect with rich seafood dishes.
In case you were wondering, Hunter Semillon improves with age (many love it with 10 years or more). Top Australian wine writer Huon Hooke gave this wine a drinking window to 2020. It's the perfect time to try one of Australia's best white wine experiences.

A traditional Portuguese seaside dish which just needs a cool glass of fresh fruity white to provide a refreshing foil for the salty, oily sardines. Try structured whites with good fruit intensity - Australian Viognier, Semillon or Vermentino will pair nicely.

Moules Marinieres

A classic French dish which is surprisingly versatile with styles of wine - for a slightly different take, try a ripe, citrusy New World white such as Bimbadgen Estate Semillon.

Peppers Stuffed with Beef

The combination of creamy meat filling in the deep-fried sweet peppers is a great match for medium bodied, velvety reds but white wine fans could experiment with a structured, honeyed Semillon form Hunter Valley would contrast well with the sweet pepper and rich filling.
