Made from a blend of Semillon 45%, Sauvignon Blanc 35% and Muscadelle 20%, this dry Bordeaux has intense aromas of white blossom and tropical fruit with a hint of freshly cut grass, with a palate of fresh, peach and tropical flavours and a mouth-watering finish. Great with smoked haddock or mackerel.

‘Château Moulin de Launay is a winningly crisp blend of Semillon and Sauvignon. Great for lunch'.

Tom Cannavan Reviews

Don't just take our word for it; here's what wine writer Tom Cannavan has to say:

"From between the seas (actually rivers!) of the Gironde and Dordogne in Bordeaux, this is a classic Entre-Deux-Mers blend of Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and aromatic Muscadelle from a fourth-generation family of winegrowers. Firm, but juicy pear is the immediate aroma, a little hint of the grassy Sauvignon coming through, before a nicely concentrated, intense palate, a grapefruity acidity and tang balanced against ripe, nectarine flesh juiciness. Very stylish and one to try with a fresh goat’s cheese and roasted peach salad"

The Region

Entre-deux-Mers is Bordeaux white wine territory, a wine region that lies between the Rivers Dordogne and Garonne (hence the name, 'between two seas').

You might only think of red wines when Bordeaux springs to mind, but you'd be missing out on some exceptional whites made from Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon (with Muscadelle and Ugni Blanc also present). And some of the world's greatest sweet wines too.

A fertile, gently rolling landscape, Entre-deux-Mers has alluvial soils thanks to the two bordering rivers. Red wines are also made here, but if you enjoy crisp, dry white wines, here's fine hunting ground.

Smoked Haddock with Creamy Lentils

A delicious smoked haddock together with rich, creamy lentils need a wine with plenty of fruit concentration and structure to stand up to the contrasting smoky, earthy and creamy notes. For weight and body head to Sauvignon-Semillon blends from Bordeaux or New World Chardonnay.
