The Producer

Maison Sichel are a well respected wine producer based in the Bordeaux region of France. We're more than happy to recommend any wine Sichel put their name to. It's a real mark of quality.

The Winemaking

Grapes are harvested at night to take advantage of cool temperatures and conserve the flavours and aromas. This rosé is made by pressing the grapes immediately, without maceration, and fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of around 15°C. The wine is then aged on the its lees for 3 months in stainless steel. Lightly fined with clay prior to filtration and bottling.

The Region

The vast Languedoc appelation is a hot bed region of winemaking in the South of France. Many native grape varietes are grown here as well as the more well known international varieties. All in all, It's a region well known for making incredibly good value wines. The vineyard where the grapes for Chic were grown is situated in the Languedoc’s top terroir, a region situated between the foothills of the eastern Pyrenees and the Mediterranean sea.
