The Producer

The City of London Distillery was established in 2012 and is a small-batch micro-distillery riding the wave of the latest gin revolution. They love to experiment with new botanicals and new combinations to create their unique gins. They were the first gin distillery to open in the City of London after a 200 year absence of any gin distillery, following the end of the Gin Craze in the 18th century. This is one to watch.

Distillation

They distill their gins in three copper pot stills - modern versions of the Caterhead still. The equipment was manufactured by Karl (Germany) and it took five strong guys to assemble the stills and column behind the bomb-proof glass.

The City of London

Known as the Square Mile, the City of London once had a gin distillery or gin shop on every street. After a 200 year break, today, The City of London Distillery is at the centre of a renaissance in small batch gin making.
