The Producer

Taking its name from the famed Australian bird, the Kookaburra, the Laughing Bird series takes classic grapes and turns them in to smooth, easy drinking wines. The grapes are specially selected from small parcels of vines in South Eastern Australia, chosen for their slow-ripening potential.

Winemaking

The vines are carefully cultivated, with low yields producing intensely-flavoured grapes of outstanding quality. The Cabernet is matured in stainless steel to preserve the fruit character.

The Region

The South-East Australia wine zone includes the states of South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales and produces wines from a variety of different vineyard sites across the smaller regions. While these can be inexpensive blended wines, some producers also use this as a way to create their own personal blends of regional styles.
