Perfect Prosecco & Italian Sparkling Wines
Perfect Prosecco & Italian Sparkling Wines Perfect Prosecco & Italian Sparkling Wines Perfect Prosecco & Italian Sparkling Wines

This case of fashionable Italian sparkling wines includes our very own Rude Prosecco DOC - a very classy Italian sparkling wine indeed, made from top-notch Glera grapes from low-yielding vineyards (that’s winespeak for top-quality grapes, the essential ingredient for great wines).

There is a notch-up in the Prosecco stakes however; the even loftier Prosecco Superiore Uvaggio Storico Valdobbiadene. Superb Prosecco in an equally smart bottle as well.

And something pink perhaps? Then Punta Rosa Spumante Rosato will fit the bill nicely. It’s got a lovely subtle salmon-pink hue, thanks to ripe Pinot Grigio grapes which have an attractive ‘russet’ colour to them (and 35% Pinot Noir).

A case of Italian sparkling wine that’ll grace any occasion.

The Producer

Top Veneto producer Fabiano source our Prosecco through a co-operative winery in the foothills of Montello and Asolo. Established in 1957, the co-op has over 600 hectares of vineyards at its disposal on a wide variety of sites. Low yields and strict selection of grapes is a must, and the latest technology ensures that the wines are produced consistently and with an emphasis on quality over quantity.

Fish Tacos

A brilliant way to jazz up any firm white fish, these quick tacos make a good lunch or sharing option - add a cool glass of crisp sparkling Rude prosecco for good measure. Full recipe

The Producer

Set in the idyllic rolling hills of the Veneto’s Pre-Alps, the Val d’Oca co-operative was established in 1952 by a handful of grape growers who saw the benefits of co-operation as a solution to face the economic difficulties of the post-war period. They couldn’t have envisaged what a good idea that was at the time – the co-operative has now grown to 576 members with over 700 hectares of vineyards, enabling smaller farmers to continue working the land.

Wild Mushroom & Burrata Bruschetta

Creamy, unctuous Burrata and earthy mushrooms calls for a structured, citrussy sparkling wine from Italy to add a whip of fresh acidity to the proceedings. Full recipe

Fizz that's the bizz!

A great balanced Prosecco that's not too dry or sweet. Lovely fruit notes balanced by the fizz.
Makes for a great start to any evening.

Prosecco

In The Press:
"Here's one that stands out...A brut (dry) style, it's floral, elegant and expressive, with classic notes of ripe pear and white peach." Sam Wylie-Harris, Western Daily Press, September 2015
