Top 10 Best-Selling White Wine

Wow! What a beautiful fragrant wine, a hint of Muscat without the associated over sweetness of that grape, and a sharp freshness that could only be Italian Richard

I felt compelled to check where I bought it from and then to tell anyone who cares to read this that it's very, very quaffable Alan

The Producer

Family owned winery Casas del Bosque was founded in 1993 by Juan Cuneo Solari. The son of an Italian immigrant, he had always dreamed of having his own vineyard and chanced upon an area of the Casablanca Valley, 100k due west of Santiago, with its pine forests, olive groves and small, white abandoned adobe houses. He chose to name the winery Casas del Bosque, or “Houses of the Forest.” The winemaking team are evangelical about translating the character of the vineyard and grape in to the final wine, using longer than average skin contact to extract extra flavour from the grapes. Some vineyards are under organic management and the winery is currently beginning the process towards Wines of Chile Sustainability Certification, which is the first step on the way to organic certification.

Not having come across this grape before it was a fantastic surprise to experience such a crisp fruity summer wine. We have just bought a box for the summer... but I fear that we will be ordering more boxes before long... David

Salad Nicoise

Try a light, fresh white with this classic salad - the tuna works well with crisp, easy-drinking styles such as Sauvignon or South African Chenin Blanc. Full recipe

Good value for easy drinking

Tired of Pinot Gris and Chardonnay? Try Viognier, an easy drinking alternative, a dry wine with all those flavours as detailed and yes, you can spend your time identifying them. But come on. at this price level, you're looking for a good weekday quaffable wine not a special occasion wine where every mouthful requires savouring. Drink chilled, both you and the wine and you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful

A great wine to relax with. Apricot and honey on the palate with just a hint of zing.
This is for me, a must buy.

Wine Review

All the wines were very good but the Five Climates Chenin Blanc was a personal favourite. Re-ordered some more and was delivered within 24 hours. Great service, thank you.

Pleasant.

Glad to say that my mixed case wasn't all bad. This was a pleasant light white wine which we enjoyed with, I think, a salad. If I have tried a Chenin before I cannot remember but this will be on a possible list in future.
