Delicious, award-winning Prosecco, named in The Independent's top ten Prosecco of 2014. Crisp, elegant, lemony fizz made from Glera grapes, this is a 'Superiore' wine, meaning the top grade of Prosecco production from the best hillside vineyards, which give a richer, more structured feel to the wine. Enjoy it as an aperitif or with fish or vegetable antipasti.

'There's a pleasant core of icing sugar-dusted lemon and pear drop fruit and just a little more zip than usual.'
The Wine Gang

This was especially good and worth 5 stars, it was both juicy and bubbly, lovely to drink alone. Eve

The Producer

Set in the idyllic rolling hills of the Veneto’s Pre-Alps, the Val d’Oca co-operative was established in 1952 by a handful of grape growers who saw the benefits of co-operation as a solution to face the economic difficulties of the post-war period. They couldn’t have envisaged what a good idea that was at the time – the co-operative has now grown to 576 members with over 700 hectares of vineyards, enabling smaller farmers to continue working the land.

Tom Cannavan Reviews

Don't just take our word for it; here's what wine writer Tom Cannavan has to say:

One of the less expensive wines in a premium Prosecco taste-off I held recently, and one of my favourites - that was for its sheer zing and zip, with all the Prosecco hallmarks of delicate floral notes and lemon-sherbet freshness and clarity, but with such a surge of flavour and intensity of fruit on the mid-palate, sweetly ripe, yet this is distinctly Brut with 8g/l of residual sugar and a dry, really tangy finish. This is labelled as coming from the slopes of the San Pietro di Barbozza area, and the winery producers various cuvées, like this, from specific terroirs of Prosecco.

The Region

Val d'Oca enjoys an enviable location right in the heart of the prized growing areas between the towns of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano. Grapes grown on the slopes of these steep hills are awarded the highest status of DOCG, with vineyards located on flat land given the lesser DOC status (that extra ‘G’ signifies that the quality is Guaranteed). The combination of hilly vineyards, mild climate and complex patchwork of soils all contribute towards the unique character of Prosecco.

Prosecco

In The Press:
"Here's one that stands out...A brut (dry) style, it's floral, elegant and expressive, with classic notes of ripe pear and white peach." Sam Wylie-Harris, Western Daily Press, September 2015

Fantastic Fizz

Lighter than Champagne & more affordable but still a wonderful experience whether its in celebration or just a treat. My favourite tipple for a Friday evening after the working week is over & I am relaxing with friends.

Wild Mushroom & Burrata Bruschetta

Creamy, unctuous Burrata and earthy mushrooms calls for a structured, citrussy sparkling wine from Italy to add a whip of fresh acidity to the proceedings.

Lemon & Parsley Fishcakes

A great lunch or supper option served with green salad or chips, (depending on your attitude), these light fish cakes are crying out for a fresh, zingy and in the nicest way possible, fairly neutral white to pair up with the lemon and parsley notes in the dish. Add a little sparkle to these with Val d'Oca's Prosecco Superiore Valdobbiadene.

Chicken Caesar Salad

A classic Caesar salad with rich dressing needs nothing but a glass of bright, fruity white - plump for a Prosecco with clean, citrusy notes.
