Buy Aloxe-Corton Wine

This small village lies at the northernmost part of the Côte de Beaune in France’s famous Burgundy wine region.

It’s old. With a documented history going back to 696AD, and Charlemagne involved with vine-growing here.

The village of Aloxe is overlooked by the hill Corton, with vines growing on three sides, including the grands crus Corton and Corton-Charlemagne (mostly red, and all white respectively).

This is Pinot Noir at its refined and captivating best. If you’ve the patience, Aloxe-Corton wines should develop complex, gamey flavours at eight to ten years old.

Along with Pommard, Aloxe-Corton wines will often rank among the most long-lived and powerful of the whole Côtes de Beaune.
