Judean Hills Wine

South of Jerusalem, just 25 miles inland from the Mediterranean Sea, Israel’s Judean Hills wine region is reminiscent of the vineyards of Tuscany, with rolling hills dotted with vines and olive groves. Unlike much of Israel, the region has a moderate Mediterranean climate resulting in rich wines with an underlying freshness. Sweet sacramental wine has been made here for at least 5000 years, but since the 1990s many producers have realised the potential of the land in producing excellent quality dry table wines.
