Marlborough

Marlborough is famous for its aromatic Sauvignon Blanc wines. Situated at the north-eastern tip of the South Island, it is one of the biggest vineyard areas in New Zealand and is the source of our enduring love affair with Sauvignon Blanc. Marlborough winemakers do however grow other white grapes: aromatic varietals such as Pinot Gris Riesling and Pinot Noir fare well. The hallmark of wines from Marlborough is a combination of the intense fruit flavours that are typical of New World wines and the bracing acidity typical of many European wines.
