Medoc

The Médoc is one of the main wine producing areas of Bordeaux in Western France, a region that makes some the finest wines in the world. The Médoc is located to the north of the city of Bordeaux along the banks of the Gironde river which flows to the Atlantic Ocean. The Médoc is often known as the ‘Left Bank’ of Bordeaux and produces some of Bordeaux’s top Grand Cru Classé wines from predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Communes in the Médoc include Pauillac, Saint-Estèphe, Saint-Julien, Margaux, Listrac-Médoc and Moulis-en-Médoc.
