Monterrei Wine

This Spanish wine region became a DO in 1992, but has been producing wine for several centuries. It’s viewed as being quite different from the other Galician regions, thanks to its warmer climate. White grape varieties tend to dominate in Monterrei, with Treixadura, Verdello, Caiño blanco and Godello being the mainstays of the region.
