Orange, New South Wales

The Australian region of Orange in New South Wales can be found about 150 miles west of Sydney and is dominated by Mount Canobolas, an extinct volcano. This is where many of the best vineyards have been planted: altitude equals cooler temperatures which also equals intense flavours in the wine. This is a wonderful area for growing grapes as the region is relatively cool and has plenty of water for irrigation. The main grape varieties grown here are Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Wines from Orange are aromatic, fruity and very elegant. Don’t take our word for it, try them for yourself!
