Saint Emilion Wine

In the Bordeaux region in the South West of France, the area around the village of Saint-Émilion is one of the most famous wine regions in the world and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Saint-Émilion is famous for producing smooth, ripe Merlot based wines from vines grown on heavy clay soils, blended with smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a microclimate and geology that is perfectly suited to winemaking.
